Barbears House 

This was the first holiday we spent abroad as a family. It is extra special because it is the place where I proposed to Sue, so we thought it deserved a special page of it's own. We stayed at the Marni Apartment's in Koutouloufari just up the hill from the town of Hersonissos. From the first day to the last we had a great time, it was extremely hot and we were totally spoilt for choice when we needed to find a restaurant to eat in each evening. One very special place to all of us was the Restaurant Mirtia, pictured on the right. We had a fantastic night here which changed our lives. This was the night that I asked Sue to marry me.

Other good places to eat we found were the Esperos, try the Mafia pizzas, a favourite with the boys and Sue. Also the Windmill Tavern, went here a few times, so it must have been fine food. Other things we enjoyed were the Star Water Park for a relaxing lie in the sun and swim. We went on a Greek night at Anopoli on one of those very extortionate Thompson trips, with Greek dancers and food, although the food isn't that exciting! Also there is the shopping in Hersonissos.

Sue went back here with her Mum for a short holiday in 2008.
